Director Of Maintenance

We currently operate a fleet of 2 B206’s, 5 AS350’s 1 AS365 and 1 B205 Helicopters in the utility market, supporting several industries in Northeastern BC. Qwest Heli has been serving Northeastern BC since 2002 and has built a reputation on providing high quality service to its clients. The successful applicant will have excellent pay, and a flexible work schedule.

This position will require the candidates to relocate to the Fort Nelson area.

Candidates will need to meet the following:

  • Experience & Education
    • Valid AME Transport Canada License with M1 and or M2 ratings
    • Experience either performing or supervising helicopter maintenance; six months of which has been within the preceding two years
    • Ability to manage and oversee AME’s and apprentices time and work related tasks through a work order system and maintenance tracking system
    • Ability to troubleshoot & repair aircraft
    • Proven working knowledge with general aircraft repair, fabrication and/or installation
    • Must have strong English (written & spoken) communication skills and pass the Transport Canada PRM interview
    • Valid Class 5 Drivers' License

  • Duties & Responsibilities
    • Comply & follow Qwest Helicopters Maintenance Policy Manual
    • Disassemble, inspect, record discrepancies, recommend & record methods of repair
    • Oversee & participate in the repair of parts and components
    • Ensure accuracy & traceability of parts that are removed or installed on aircraft with the appropriate record keeping
    • Ensure all applicable airworthiness requirements are met with proactive forecasting of maintenance events

You must be able to work alone and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Renumeration 160K – 180K depending on experience.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

Qwest Helicopters is looking for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers' who thrive in dynamic situations, have experience in high-stress settings and exhibit strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

Mechanically inclined individuals committed to learning and growing within their position will excel in this role. We are looking for individuals with an honest work ethic who want to be an active part of our company.

You need to possess the following licenses and experience:

  • A valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M1 or M2 license
  • Held an ACA at a recognized AMO facility
  • A valid Canadian driver's license

You should be:

  • Able to self-manage and be accountable
  • Capable of following instructions, organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Capable of working in various challenging weather climates, including limited night and winter operations

Consideration will be given to candidates with experience and ratings on any of the following types: B206, AS350, AS365 and B205 Helicopters.

Most of our maintenance is conducted within our main hanger for the 12 months. Tours are negotiable.

Renumeration is 120K – 140K.
